Corepla Replay Machine
In 2018, together with Corepla (The italian consortium for plastic recycling) we developed a working prototype of a plastic recycling machine that turns plastic waste into toys.
The machine was designed to eat plastic bottle caps and transform it into sand toys.
After months of prototyping together with our partner Monogrid, we made the first working prototype able to print plastic from bottle and caps.

Re-Play Machine
Nothing is created and nothing is destroyed, especially when we talk about plastic.
That is why we studied together with CoRePla & Monogrid the behavior of different types of plastic to understand how we can transform them.
We came up with a prototype of a machine that can eat and mold plastic caps and turn them into beach toys for children, educating them to respect the environment and become aware about the problem of plastic pollution.
Technical Notes
The machine was initially designed to work with PET bottles, but we experienced problems with the material and its consistency after mold.
Second test was made with HDPE, the material of the cap, more solid and resistant, this one was perfect for our test and reacted very good on molding process creating a perfect softplastic that we pressed into an exagon shape.
The resulst was a very solid item made of recycled plastic.
At the end of the day, the machine wasn’t developed by the client and is still a concept.
