Can modern technology help us decode the mind of a creative genius?
That’s the question we set out to explore with Fellini Forward, a groundbreaking project created in collaboration with Wunderman Thompson, Campari Group, and UNIT9.
Together with an extraordinary team of professionals, we pushed the boundaries between creativity and technology — blending human imagination with the most advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to bring to life a short film inspired by and dedicated to the visionary genius of Federico Fellini.
The project, documented in a feature available on Amazon Prime Video, marks an ambitious step toward the future of cinema — redefining how human insight and AI can co-create new forms of storytelling.
It was a privilege to personally share the project’s vision with Francesca Fabbri Fellini on a warm afternoon in Rimini — a symbolic encounter between heritage and innovation.
Born from the fusion of creativity and technology, Fellini Forward stands as a lasting legacy to the world of film and to the enduring dialogue between man and machine.

Transform the role of Campari in cinema from ordinary sponsor to innovative game changer.
In 2020, two major milestones aligned: Campari’s 160th anniversary and what would have been Federico Fellini’s 100th birthday.
The connection between Fellini and Campari dates back to 1984, when the legendary director — who rarely collaborated with brands — made a unique exception to create a commercial for the iconic Italian aperitif.
To celebrate this centennial moment, we had the opportunity to craft a new project that honors one of cinema’s greatest storytellers, while continuing Campari’s long-standing tradition of creativity and support for the arts.
My uncle Federico had a unique way of portraying life, using dreamlike elements as his means of expression. I believe a project like this is a perfect way to honor his legacy. Even though he often drew inspiration from his past, he was always looking ahead.
